I recorded the series in a wide landscape on the island of Lanzarote. The duration of this one-off and short-time repetitive action was determined by the length of one photographic film, shot with a 6×4,5 camera, resulting in fifteen photos and an equal number of attempts of throwing and catching a photo-reflector, which is normally being held out of the photographic frame to stop light or to highlight something. In each shot, the reflector as well as the landscape appear differently. The light slightly changed during the time of the recording. In the final photographic image, the hill in the distance and the reflector nearby seem to merge.

In order to catch the same spirit and stay close to the method of working during the action of throwing and recording, I printed the photographs in the darkroom in a single, stretched, organic movement. So instead of searching for the right exposure time on test strips for each photograph, I used different exposure times directly on the final paper, which results in lighter and darker versions for each of the fifteen photographs. In this case, every test is a possible work. The result is a series of 33 prints.
