The diptych Lichtjes opgeschoven shows a domestic object photographed in a high contrast mode leading to a chiaroscuro effect. Several shots were taken, each time with slight shifts in perspective. By chance, an interplay of lines between the two images occurred whilst making the first black and white prints in the darkroom. When the left image was accidentally printed the ‘wrong’ way (mirrored), it converged with the right image, entering into a dialogue with it.
